Youth Minister

Scott Harris has been on staff with Harvest Church SI since June of 2018 as Youth Minister, and has attended Harvest since 2011. Along with the youth, Scott enjoys working in AWANA, leading a small group, and facilitating, coordinating, and attending VERGE accountability groups. Scott works bi-vocationally and spends the majority of his working hours as an employee of Masters Choice Inc, a locally owned seed corn company.

Throughout his Christian life, Scott has had the opportunity to serve on staff as youth pastor with two different churches, lead small groups and studies, and attend multiple mission trips to the country of Belize, which he considers to be his second home. He was licensed and ordained into ministry at the age of twenty and really enjoys preaching the word of God.

While Scott does his best to never show favoritism with the teens, there is one special youth with whom he has a definite connection, his twelve year-old daughter Addi.  Scott says, “Addi is a smart, funny, amazing, talented, God-led young lady who inspires me daily with her actions, choices, and attitude.” The highlight of his time at Harvest has been baptizing Addi. Scott says that he, “is very thankful that God allowed him to be a part of this momentous occasion.” In their free time, Scott and Addi enjoy golfing, playing softball, reading, watching movies, and grilling out.
