Our Story...
Harvest Church of Southern Illinois was planted in November 2010. God has since demonstrated His faithfulness. As we trace the history of Harvest, we are consistently reminded about the heart of our mission – to adore Jesus, advance believers, and assist our community. In 2010, Harvest started meeting in the auditorium of a local high school for worship and teaching by our founding pastor, Tony Foeller. That next year, we were invited to worship in an unused gymnasium at a local business where we stayed for a few months before purchasing out current location. Harvest Church's building in Anna, IL, was once a tomb stone and tractor trailer manufacturing plant, was quickly reimagined from a place where signs of death and loss were made, to what it is, a place for us to share God's word and bring new life to our community through the declaration of the gospel.
Pastor Tony resigned as the Lead Pastor in May of 2021 and moved to take a pastorate in Iowa. The church called Matt Crain in the fall of 2021, and by God's grace he leads the Harvest flock today. An all-purpose building was built in 2023 to better help disciple the growing Harvest Kids & Next Gen ministries, along with serving the surrounding community by providing meeting place. We're seeing people grow in the faith and knowledge of Jesus in significant ways!
We are eternally grateful for the faithfulness of the many men and women who took hold of God’s call and responded in faithful obedience, and look forward to the plans God has set forth before us. This is just the beginning...
