There is only one instance recorded in the gospels in which the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to do something: pray. Today we kick off a short miniseries about Jesus and prayer, starting with this vital question: why should we pray? How we answer that question has a lot to do with how we pray. Striving for an audience of One will keep our hearts from seeking to seek compliments about how we pray from others.
