Given To Give

Money. It's the one thing we need, but can also rule over us as Americans. Jesus knew He would compete with wealth for ownership of our hearts; He mentioned wealth more than heaven & hell COMBINED.

So let's dare to peel back the layers and get to the heart of the issue: is it possible for a person to be a genuine Jesus-follower and not live an "others-first" lifestyle? How do we know where the line is between foolishness and sacrificial generosity? And what does God expect of His children about wealth?

Let the absolute absurdity of this (almost anti-American!) statement sink in: "Giving away my money, time, assets, and possessions to others leads me to delight in the splendid, ever-outward-radiating glory of God."
