God's will was to replace King Saul with a new king, but not who Samuel had in mind. God was preparing a young shepherd boy named David, who would later become the greatest king in the nation's history.
David had no idea what God was up to, though. Which begs the question: how do we know step into God's will in our lives? Christians speak of a "calling from God", but what does that mean?
